Go Camp France App Review

The Go Camp France app is designed to allow you to take the Go Camp France Website with you on the move for when you go on holiday. Go Camp France is a resource for booking and researching family holidays in France.

I tested out the app by searching for useful facilities in and around an area of southern France that I know well - the coast along the Cote D'Azur near St. Tropez has lots of famuily camp sites including some that are featured on the Go Camp France site.

Using the app I could zoom in on the map and view details of local camp sites.   I was really impressed by the level of detail on each camp site and the quality of the images.  In fact, the entire app looks really great - clean and bright and bold - and it is very easy and intuitive to use.

You can also use the app to search for local facilities such as supermarkets and days out - I was less impressed by this functionality because it is only as good as the data available and there clearly wasn't that much data for this part of the world - only one day out???  I am sure that as the app matures and more data is added through the free updates that the facilities you can search for will be enhanced and enriched.

The Go Camp France app boasts details of over 100 featured campsites, over 170 supermarkets including opening times for Intermarche, Lidl, E.Leclerc. Super U, Casino and more, over 100 ATM’s, over 130 petrol stations, over 90 pharmacies, over 80 Tourist Information Centres, over 60 fast food outlets, and over 50 family attractions!

Other features of the app include the ability to get directions to your campsite and local amenities via a choice of detailed maps including street view and satellite images.
 You can also add and read reviews of the sites and attractions listed as well as checking for events and national holidays in the app diary.

The Go Camp France app is available for iPhone and IPod touch on the app store.
